I’m so excited they’re watching it that I didn’t even notice the year gap I hope one day it becomes a regular viewing, but I love One Piece so much, that any time a reaction channel watches it, I’m there. I’m glad it’s dub too. All the classic voices I grew up with, all in one show.
I know the story will capture them. It’s only a matter of time. The backstories, the walk, the hat, the Merry, the cries of wanting to live, the true meaning of being King of the Pirates… It’s a tale as rich as the great epics.

I do hope a lot of people will vote for One Piece to be on the regular schedule in the future because it is so good it is my Favorite anime/manga series ever.
I’m curious, would you guys be willing to make this a regular series someday?

Its so unfortunate that One Piece isn’t a reaction on the regular schedule. Its one of the best animes for reactions and BlindWave crew would love this series. I understand why they don’t watch weekly, but One Piece is honestly enjoyable basically every episode regardless of the pacing.
I’m in two minds, it’s really funny that they do one reaction to a 1000 episode plus series a year, but I’m desperate for them to do it weekly.
I love the series, but I can’t stand how much filler is put into the later arcs. It’s the main reason I can’t suggest watching the series to others since some episodes can spend a quarter of the view time on recapping the previous episode. The East Blue and Alabasta arcs are something I can wholly suggest though as a great viewing experience.
Yeah i’d say upto the time jump (or more specifically when in the New World), is solid and then punk hazard happens.
Alabasta has way more filler in it, than any Canon arc. One Piece only does filler now, in between arcs now. Which I wish they did do Bleach and Naruto Shippuden size filler arcs, so they’d do more than one chapter an episode.

Honestly I think the commitment to the joke would work better if there was goal beside just waiting the years in between episodes. Maybe make it weekly or something when they reach a million subs that way the journey to more One Piece is exciting and fun as we all see the channel grow. They could even try the manga podcast version that other channels have tried. We all love Blindwave and One Piece and I don’t think we’d be chomping at the bit this much if your reactions to it didn’t show you guys would love the story and characters as much as we do.
The irony is, if you had someone to edit the episodes, cut out the 50 flashbacks and recaps (seriously, each episode has like 12 minutes of content) and cut them into 30-45 minute episodes, it’d be genuinely feasible to watch it like any of the hour long shows you guys watch.

The worst part about this, is they clearly like it, and this is the shit One Piece, and they like it, lol. Buggy and Kuro arcs, in the Anime, suck. I wish they’d do like some of the Normies have done, and do a Manga book club, and do One Piece, one volume a week.

My personal hope is when the finish Naruto they replace it with one piece. But who know. A man can dream though.

I have a theory they might do this one more year for the rule of 3, then ‘oops the ai messed up and is releasing the episodes weekly now. Oh well, here you go.’ Personally I don’t mind either way, but after they released them for everyone this year, I could see the possibility.
