2. Shane, Trunks is in significantly older than Gohan at this point (a full decade, in fact).

   Gohan was born in 757 and the present section of this arc takes place sometime in the end of 779, so Gohan is only 22 years old chronologically (23 technically, due to his time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber).

   Trunks was born in 766 and the future section of this arc takes place in 795. However, Future Trunks spent two years in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber (one before Goku and Gohan went in and another after them, both times with Vegeta), so his real age is 32-33 years old.
