   1. Midnight Madness is actually the first episode of season 3 in terms of production order so I’m not sure why they skipped it

2. The problem is the Ashley Johnson and Tara Strong are too good at impersonating each other. It’s the same reason why Raven and Starfire didn’t switch voice actors.

So the reason that the voices changed for Ben and Gwen was because Charmcaster casted the original mind transference spell from her body, the second time she had to brew the spell, she did it in Gwen’s body which doesn’t have the same Magical aura and experience manipulating magic as Charmcaster’s body, so the spell wasn’t as perfected.
