So this is going to be a shock for you but people who “cringe” at the dub are in the minority, but are also the loudest. So most people like the subs, then next are the people who prefer the dub, and next is your group that hates the dub and anyone who watches it. On every dub video of one piece on youtube, the comments that just bash the dub are the ones most downvoted. You can tell since they are at the bottom of the comment section. You just think everyone hates the dub like you because your group is the loudest. Most people who don’t hate the dub don’t comment at all. As for me I prefer the dub and just know they are a lot more of us than you think.
The only dub that is acceptable to hate with such passion is the 4Kids one piece dub, that is the only time those people are right but I don’t think that dub exists anymore.
4Kids One Piece Dub is great. Just don’t view it as a dub view it as an abridged series.

Yeah English dub in general has been pretty good all things considered due to having Funimation or other big studios getting actual good voice actors for big hit series. I think here the voice acting gets better as the actors get accustomed to their roles and also there’s more to work with.

We get 5 episodes for an April fool’s joke? I mean, don’t get me wrong. I’ll take all 5 of these and walk away enjoying a high-quality joke with an absurd amount of effort put into it, so it takes the cake. (5 episodes for one joke, if it wasn’t even one and the webpage for the first reaction was “April Fools” in caps I would’ve been satisfied, but now I’m going to wonder what could’ve been had they actually done it).
First of all that’s a bad joke if this was only for April fool’s day and we don’t get more. Second I will unsubscribe and all my effort for getting people I know to subscribe to them will be focused on making them unsubscribe. This would be a terrible joke. And third if they only drop one piece once a year it would take 1000 years and no one is dumb enough to believe that. Its just like Naruto if they don’t feel like it they’ll skip a few weeks to work their schedule but not doing it at all after this would lose them fans instantly, and I doubt their that stupid. Also they enjoyed it too much to pull this as just a prank.

2. You make effort to make people subscribe to them? What kind of effort? Never in my life did someone convince me to subscribe to a channel I personally didn’t know/like.

4. Lose fans because they hypothetically stop reacting to one show? I donly watch 4 of their show reactions but I’m still a patron, because I want to support them AND earn as much early access as I can.

I’m really happy to see this show being covered, no matter the circumstances. It’ll be interesting to see where patience might start to wane in certain sections. I didn’t really feel any pacing problems for a while into the show. But, I was also younger then…
I also wonder, if they’re planning on skipping filler stuff, what they might do with the Apis arc- since it sorta bleeds into canon stuff if I’m remembering right.
It’s crazy to think how long it’ll take for them to meet so many great characters. I kinda wanna try and make some predictions… But there might be too many options. Ah, screw it- I’ll go with my gut. Aaron/Brook, Eric/Franky, Calvin/Robin and we already know who Rick’s favorite is. I think I’m least certain on Calvin… He could probably go any direction.
The Usopp arc is rough in the Anime, especially week to week. But that filler arc, definitely skip it. There is one part where the Villain of that arc surprise attacks them and Nami murders him. But maybe whomever is editing this can just edit that out? Because that filler arc is awful. The only filler arc worth watching is G8.
I really want someone to send them a figurine from a character we won’t meet until like episode 600 in mailbag and they have to wait 15 years to open it.
Fun Fact, Nami didn’t appear in the manga until this moment.

I’m not certain what aspect is the joke but if it gets me some one piece reaction I’m all for it.
The joke is that this was released on April Fools Day, so we are not certain if them watching 5 episodes is part of a big prank, and they won’t be doing anymore episodes. Or is the big prank them making us believe that they are only doing these 5 but they’re actually doing this series now?
And here I thought it was going to be added to the regular schedule.

theres over 1000 episodes, that will take you 1000 weeks thats 19 years not including all the episodes that will come out during the process of watching them

Just to put this timeline in perspective, assuming 1 episode a week after the inital 5 and skipping filler, we should hit the Grandline in approx 1 year. Jaya in 2 years, Long-Long Island in 3 years, Enies Lobby in 4, Thriller Bark in 5, meeting Law in 6, Summit War in 7, 3D2Y in 8 years, arriving at Dressrosa in 10 years, and caught up to all CURRENTLY dubbed episodes in almost 13 years. Not to count the episodes that haven’t been dubbed yet.
Does anyone know if they’re planning on doing one episode a week or will they post multiple like this?
Well Toei is clearly trying to get the Dub to be current with the Sub, because the rate of the Dub release is far higher than ever before.
Man I hope there is an extra trick, and their actually doing this series. I know it would literally take a lifetime for them to finish it at the pace they release episodes. But I don’t care. I think they’d have a lot of fun with this series, Eric already seems like he’s all in, and even if the plan was just for these 5 episodes, I hope it backfires by them liking it.
