I gotta say I just finished gravity falls because I was curious why it won the poll. I understand now, it’s such a beautiful cartoon that I didn’t grew up in. I come from the era of growing up in the 2000s the golden era of cartoons and thought they don’t make cartoons like they use to but gravity falls is an exception. I see now why people wanted them to react to it. It’s definitely a unique cartoon for sure.

So, I believe for the most part, at least from what i’ve gathered. The whisper at the end of the intro is the cipher you use for that episode.
I love them just figuring out cyphers and mysteries. This is such a cool show to analyze. Perfect for hint hunters ?
The reverse whispering in the intro does in fact change. At first it was “Three letters back” hinting at the Caesar cipher. Wtih the episode “Double Dipper” it changed to “Switch A with Z” hinting at the Attbash cipher and since “Bottomless Pit” it’s “26 letters” hinting at the current A1Z26 cipher
Bill Cipher really did bring a layer of twisted terror to Gravity Falls.

If you recall, in “Bottomless Pit”, they actually have that moment where a mysterious object flies past them, implying that interacting with memories actually affects things!
