1. And so begins 50 episodes of obvious morals (racism and genocide are bad!), nonsensical philosophy, tone-breaking comedy, increasingly ridiculous action, uncomfortable fanservice, a plot so far up its own ass it tickles its own tonsils and some kind of phenomena leaving everyone unable to actually finish their sentences!
   I used to really enjoy this series but I very much grew out of it. Objectively it’s not actually bad but as you said this is pretty much peak ANIME and if that turns you off this series is definitely not for you. These days the mech thing is the only part of this I still enjoy.
