so obvious. me watching this “why is he always sitting. why is he always looking at his feet. has he no legs?” thats what i always thought. kinda lame that he was just in a wheelchair. if the island could regenerate limbs sigh THAT would be uber cool
“Why is he always sitting down in flashbacks & looking at his feet when he gets injured (which would make sense for anyone to do)? I therefore conclude that he was a cripple” lol. C’mon, there would have been no way for you to know that Locke was paralyzed before the reveal unless you were spoiled beforehand. Its the kind of reveal that would only make sense in hindsight. Also, this was very early on in the show, we didn’t know there were weird shit was happening on the island. All we knew was there was a monster & a polar bear.
‘@Green I’d say it’s a lot more telegraphed than you might think. It was definitely surprising in 2004, but in the modern world of streaming shows most audiences are vigilant about trying to stay ahead of narrative twists. The looking down at his feet shot happens 3 times, which is actually quite a lot for modern audiences not to pick up on IMO.
After watching this episode again I honestly think that the creature killed the boar for John and he claimed it for himself kinda mirroring charlie and Shannon
